Open Hot Nozzles: Featuring a relatively simple structure, molten plastic flows directly out of the nozzle into the mold cavity. They are suitable for plastic materials that have low appearance requirements and are not prone to drooling.
Needle Valve Hot Nozzles: The injection of plastic is controlled by the opening and closing of a needle valve. During injection, the needle valve opens to allow plastic to flow into the cavity; after injection, the valve closes to prevent drooling and stringing. They are ideal for products with high appearance requirements and thick walls.
Side Gating Hot Nozzles: Represented by Thermoplay’s TFS series, they inject plastic from the optimal side position and come in two configurations: linear and circular. They are particularly suitable for parts requiring a flawless surface, such as syringes and bottle caps.
Improved Product Quality: They allow the use of larger-diameter gates, which accelerate cavity filling, reduce injection pressure, and minimize product deformation. Additionally, needle valve nozzles leave no gate marks on the finished products.
Enhanced Production Efficiency: They prevent stringing and drooling during mold opening, effectively avoiding material suck-back from the cavity when the injection molding machine screw retracts. They can also be combined with sequential control to reduce weld lines in products and shorten the processing cycle.
